Windows 8 offers several ways to increase and decrease the size of the items on desktop easily. If you want to changes the size of your desktop shortcut icons, then you can easily use your mouse wheel or could simply select a size from the right-click menu. Mouse Wheel:

Here you need to click on an empty area of the desktop
After this, you have to hold down the “Ctrl” button on your keyboard
Then simply move the mouse wheel up to increase the size of the shortcut icons, or move the wheel down to decrease the size.

No Mouse Wheel:

If you don’t want to use mouse wheel then you should directly right-click on an empty part of the desktop

Screen Resolution:
